Broomfield Web Design and Local SEO for Small Businesses
We build websites and handle local search for Broomfield small businesses. Sites start at $2,999, and most go live in four to six weeks.
Broomfield has a location quirk that doesn’t show up on a map. Actually, three of them. It sits halfway between two search markets. Its ZIP codes spill into the cities around it. And until 2001 it was split across four counties. Every one of those affects how customers find you, and most “Broomfield web design” pages never mention any of them.
Halfway Between Denver and Boulder
Broomfield’s spot at the midpoint of US 36 is the reason Interlocken filled up with offices and the reason FlatIron Crossing was built where it is. Good for business. Complicated for search.
Google says local results come down mainly to relevance, distance, and prominence. Distance is the one owners underestimate. A business near Interlocken shares a search radius with Superior and Louisville. A business on the east side, out toward I-25, lands in the same pool as Thornton and Westminster. Same city on paper, two different sets of competitors in practice.
Then there’s the pull from both ends of the corridor. Adding Broomfield to a service-area page costs a Denver or Boulder firm nothing. Saying something useful about Broomfield takes actual knowledge of the place, and that’s the gap you can win on.
What works here: a Google Business Profile service area drawn around where you really go, and pages that name the parts of town and the neighboring cities you actually serve. Trying to rank for the single word “Broomfield” and calling it done leaves half your market to whoever’s closer.
Your Address Might Not Say Broomfield
None of Broomfield’s three main ZIP codes stops at the city line. 80020 reaches into Westminster, Louisville, and Lafayette. 80021 covers Interlocken but also parts of Westminster and the town of Superior. 80023 runs into Thornton and Westminster. Some postal data services even list Westminster as an accepted alternate city name for 80020.
That sounds like trivia until you look at your directory listings. Google’s own help page says prominence in local results draws on information from across the web, directories included. Your business details live on Yelp, Bing, Facebook, and industry directories, and those sites don’t all get their data from the same place. If one says “Broomfield, CO 80020” and another says “Westminster, CO 80020,” you’ve given the internet two answers to the question of where you are. That’s an easy problem to create and an easy one to avoid.
The fix isn’t complicated. Pick the city your Google Business Profile shows, then make every listing, your website footer, and your social profiles say exactly the same thing.
The four-county leftovers
Before November 15, 2001, Broomfield sat in parts of Adams, Boulder, Jefferson, and Weld counties. That’s the day it became Colorado’s 64th county, a consolidated city and county, the same arrangement Denver has. If your business has been around longer than that, older records can still name one of the four original counties. Worth a look. Nothing on your site should describe you as being in “Boulder County” or “Adams County” if you’re inside Broomfield today.
What We Build
Custom WordPress Websites
Built for phones first, because that’s where local searches happen. Fast-loading pages, a phone number visible before anyone scrolls, tap-to-call that works, and contact forms that confirm they actually sent. Structured data spells out your services and service area so search engines and AI tools don’t have to guess.
Custom sites start at $2,999. That covers design, development, and 12 months of managed WordPress hosting with free content updates. Bigger projects like booking systems, member or patient portals, or CRM and email platform integration get quoted on their own, and you see the number before any work starts. See full pricing.
Managed WordPress Hosting and Maintenance
The first year comes with the build. After that it’s $65 a month, and that one figure covers hosting and maintenance together: core and plugin updates, security patches, SSL, off-site backups, uptime monitoring, and content changes.
You email the change. Mike makes the change. No ticket queue and no per-edit billing.
Local SEO
For a Broomfield business this usually starts with cleanup, not keywords. Get the Google Business Profile right, including a service area that matches the ground you cover. Then make your name, address, and phone identical across the directories that feed Google, and yes, that includes settling the Broomfield-versus-Westminster question for good. After that it’s review generation on the platforms your customers use and a real page for each service you sell.
If paid search, social, or an email campaign to your existing customers makes more sense while organic rankings build, Melanie handles that in-house. How our local SEO campaigns work.
Who Does the Work
Two owners, no account managers. Mike is an Army veteran who’s been building websites since the mid-1990s and started The Affordable Web Guy in 2008. He builds and hosts every site. Melanie came up through marketing at The Walt Disney Company and Salem Media and runs search, ads, social, and email. The person building your site and the person planning how it gets found are married to each other, so nothing gets lost in a handoff. Meet the team.
Where We Work
There’s no storefront and that’s how we keep rates manageable for clients! Most projects run start to finish by phone and email, and we’re happy to meet at your business or by video when that’s easier.
Around Broomfield we cover Westminster, Thornton, and Arvada. Across the rest of the metro: Denver, Lakewood, Aurora, Littleton, Englewood, and Highlands Ranch.
